Concept illustration.
Methanol reforming produces hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The process is not inherently carbon-free.
A meaningful emissions assessment considers methanol production, transport, process energy and the ultimate fate of the carbon dioxide. Capturing CO2 is different from permanently storing it, and neither should be assumed without a defined process and destination.
Hydgenfuel is investigating CO2 management as part of its development pathway. Any performance or emissions claim must be supported by the appropriate measurements and lifecycle boundaries.
